Del-Nat makes Chinese connections

July 3, 2003

Del-Nat Tire Corp. is making a concerted effort to increase its ties to China for the benefit of the North American market.

The company has entered into an agreement with Superstone Tire Co., a U.S.-based Chinese consulting firm, to provide Del-Nat with consulting services for future development of products, services and logistics within Mainland China.

"This agreement not only provides Del-Nat with exclusivity for North America from certain factories but also capitalizes on two companies’ strengths to pursue new products and sizes for North America with the direct involvement of Del-Nat," says Aaron Murphy, Del-Nat’s vice president of commercial products.

"Superstone, with offices in the United States, Qing Dao and Beijing, provides a presence in China that allows them to monitor all aspects of the development and manufacturing process on behalf of Del-Nat Tire.

"Working with manufacturers in the northern and southern regions of China, Superstone will assist Del-Nat in coordinating manufacturing and distribution to meet the needs of our stockholders and direct distributors," he adds.

Del-Nat also recently completed negotiations with Chaoyan Long March Tyre Co. Ltd. for exclusive sale and distribution rights to its Long March radial medium truck tire in North America.
