Goodyear receives OE supplier award

May 2, 2003

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has received a Subaru-Isuzu Supplier Award from Subaru of Indiana Automotive Inc. (SIA) for the second consecutive year.

The award is given to suppliers who meet SIA qualifications for product quality and delivery. SIA demands a minimum 99.5% rating in quality and 99% rating in delivery.

"We work closely with SIA's automotive technical center in Japan to ensure that we are equipped to meet the Isuzu development standards," says Kevin Kramer, vice president of original equipment for Goodyear's North American Tire operations.

Goodyear tires earmarked for SIA are manufactured at Goodyear's Napanee, Ontario, passenger tire facility. Goodyear accounts for 12% of Isuzu's domestic OE fitments, excluding imports, according to Modern Tire Dealer's 2003 Facts Issue.
