Yokohama Tire names Mizumoto executive vice president of manufacturing

Yokohama Tire Corp. has appointed Yasuhiro Mizumoto to the position of executive vice president of manufacturing and technology.

In this position, Mizumoto is responsible for manufacturing development and all manufacturing operations at the Yokohama passenger and light truck tire plant in Salem, Va. The plant has the capacity to produce more than 23,000 tires per day, according to Modern Tire Dealer's 2003 Facts Issue.

"Mr. Mizumoto's appointment is the next step in our continuous upgrading of the capacities and capabilities of our Salem plant," says Koji Ikawa, CEO and president.

Mizumoto has been an employee of Yokohama Tire Corp.'s parent company, Yokohama Rubber Co., for more than 28 years. He most recently served as plant manager of the Mishima, Japan, facility.
