March 28, 2003

Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp. has announced their title sponsorship of the United Rockcrawling and Off-Road Challenge (UROC) for 2003 (see www.uroc4x4.com).

Headquartered in Delta, Utah, UROC hosts several rock crawling events based in the western United States, including the Super Crawl championship, which is attended by competitors from around the globe.

According to Earl Knoper, Toyo's senior vice president, marketing. "We are excited to be associated with UROC and the growing sport of rock crawling. Toyo supports the lifestyle of outdoor sports enthusiasts, while our line of Open Country tires contribute to that lifestyle."

Toyo's Open Country line of radial light truck tires provide stability for dual-purpose pickups and SUVs that haul travel trailers, campers and/or outdoor recreation equipment to rugged territory, says the company. Their high performance construction provides optimum traction in the dry, wet or off-highway, Toyo adds.
