Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp. has been named official tire of the NHRA Summit Sport Compact Drag Racing Series beginning with the 2003 racing season.
The multi-year agreement between Toyo and the NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) continues Toyo's commitment to sport compact drag racing.
"Toyo Tires has dedicated customers who actively participate in the sport along with its lifestyle events, and we are happy to have an opportunity to support their activities," says Gregg Vandermark, Toyo manager, performance events and activities.
Toyo produces the Proxes line of ultra-high performance tires, including the the D.O.T.-approved Proxes RA-1 competition radial and the T1-S passenger radial. Both styles of Proxes tires are available in a variety of sizes, including special niche sizes designed exclusively for sport compact vehicles.
