Gary Soderberg Jr. of Collins Firestone in Gardena, Calif., was the grand prize winner of American Tire Distributors’ College Football Experts Club contest.
What did Soderberg win by predicting the most winners for the 10 college football games played each week during the nine-week contest? A trip to the Fiesta Bowl, which hosted arguably one of the greatest college football championship games of all-time.
Soderberg was witness to the Ohio State Buckeyes' 31-24 double-overtime win over the Miami Hurricanes, which earned the Buckeyes the NCAA championship.
"It was a great trip, a great time and a great game," said Soderberg, who operates Collins Firestone with his father, Gary Soderberg Sr. "We've been customers of American Tire Distributors for the last 15 years, and they've always been good to us."
In addition to two tickets to the championship game in Scottsdale, Ariz., Soderberg also received two tickets to the game day tailgate party, a chauffeured car to use during his stay and a golf outing for two.
"Our football experts contest lets us engage our customers in a fun competition with opportunities for terrific prizes," said Jason Shannon, director of marketing for American Tire Distributors.
