Bauer Built Inc., the ninth largest commercial tire dealer in the U.S., has opened a new location in Bismarck, N.D.

The state of North Dakota is underserved in the commercial tire business, according to Tad Bauer, the company’s president. “We’ve outgrown the ability to serve these customers effectively from our Fargo location; and by opening in Bismarck, we can deliver products and services critical to this market.”

Bauer Built has been in business 71 years servicing the Midwest with tires and expanded light mechanical services.

With the addition of the Bismarck location, Bauer Built now has 37 locations, 7 Michelin Retread Technology retread plants and four wheel-refinishing operations.

The company also operates a bulk petroleum business out of its headquarters in Durand, Wis. Bauer Built acquired Central Tire & Tread Inc. of Lexington, Neb., in June 2015.

Bauer Built is No. 9 on MTD’s list of the Top 25 Commercial Tire Dealers in the U.S.
