Latest Clarion Builds Project Will Roll on Michelin Tires
Michelin North America Inc. is joining the Clarion Corporation of America as a gold level sponsor for the Clarion Builds Acura NSX project.
Michelin will contribute multiple sets of Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires to the NSX build. Clarion established the Clarion Builds in 2014 as a way to tackle unique restoration projects of iconic cars and trucks in corporation with key partners specifically selected for each project.
"Tires will always play a critical role in how it can allow a driver to test the limitations of a vehicle, as well as to showcase its capabilities," says Johnny Valencia, community and influencer manager at Michelin. "Michelin is focused on every detail to ensure it creates the best final product, a quality shared by Clarion as evidenced with their meticulous restoration of iconic classic cars under their innovative Clarion Builds program. We are proud to be a part of this exciting program and look forward to seeing the completed gen one NSX hit the track wearing our Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires."
Clarion and its project partners work to unite fans of the project and fully integrate them as a part of the program through both social and traditional media engagements. Additionally, Clarion and its partners work to encourage fan and enthusiast participation by providing detailed content highlighting every part of the build process. Clarion Builds is active on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
"When upgrading a high-performance vehicle to deliver an even more exhilarating thrill than it did in its factory form, there are parts of the car that, if overlooked, can drastically diminish the end result of the upgrades made and tires are one of those critical parts," says Allen Gharapetian, vice president of marketing and product planning for Clarion and chief of the Clarion Builds program. "When it came to selecting the right tire manufacturer partner for our NSX project, Michelin was an obvious fit for many reasons, but most notably because they have proven their ability and value in helping high-performance cars perform optimally on a race track while, in parallel, Michelin tires can be found as original equipment for some of the world's most prestigious supercars."
