The announced reorganization of the passenger tire division at Nokian Tyres plc will have no effect on the tire company's operations in North America.
Steve Bourassa, passenger and light truck products business manager for Nokian Tyres Inc. says, "Nothing will change for our business in North America or for our loyal dealers.
"The local team will remain the same. Tommi Heinonen will remain the managing director for North America."
Modern Tire Dealer asked Bourassa for input following the Finnish company's announcement it was shaking up its passenger tire division. The changes at headquarters included the news that Rami Helminen, the former head of passenger tire operations, had left the company.
Bourassa says, "The changes implemented are within senior management at our Finnish headquarters: streamlining our sales, production, procurement and operational functions all under the direct supervision of our CEO."
