Inter City Retreading Inc. has joined Continental Tire the Americas LLC’s ContiLifeCycle dealership network. The partnership extends ContiLifeCycle retreading coverage into the New York and New Jersey markets.
The new ContiLifeCycle licensee is an affiliate of Inter City Tire and Auto Center, Inc., based in Elizabeth, N.J.
Inter City Tire and Auto Center has been in business for over 35 years and operates one of the largest independent heavy duty truck repair centers in the New York Tri-State area, in addition to its multi-location commercial tire service network.
In August, Inter City Retreading converted its 20,000 square-foot production facility and upgraded to new retread equipment. The upgrades allow for initial production of approximately 78,000 retreads annually.

“The combination of Inter City Retreading’s unrivaled craftsmanship with Continental’s portfolio of proven tread designs and rubber compounds will be an excellent match for our customers.” The partnership extends ContiLifeCycle coverage into the New York and New Jersey markets, according to Paul Williams, Continental’s executive vice president of Commercial Vehicle Tires in the Americas.
“Inter City produces one of the best quality retread products in the market, and now with ContiTread, they produce one of the best brands in the market,” he says.
As part of the ContiLifeCycle dealer network, Inter City Retreading will be offering Continental’s ContiTread brand of retreaded truck tires to their customers throughout New Jersey as well as lower and middle New York.
