ACDelco Reviews Essential Parts for Car Care Month Services

Oct. 15, 2015

October is Fall Car Care Month, and ACDelco is reminding service centers that it is an opportunity to get their customers’ vehicles ready for cold weather. The company has more than 90,000 parts across 37 lines to help dealers prepare customers for winter.

For example, a quick test will help determine if a vehicle’s battery will survive the cold season. The company says ACDelco batteries are developed to ensure proper reserve capacity as well as cold-cranking amps, with choices for most customers’ needs and budgets.

ACDelco offers four tips to prepare vehicles for winter weather.

1. Inspect customers’ windshield wiper blades. There’s nothing worse than not having a clear view of the road during a storm. Look for tears or cracks in the blades and recommend replacement if they don’t completely clean the windshield.

2. Check the cabin air filter. A dirty, clogged filter can’t do its job – keeping impurities out of the air your customers breathe inside the car. Some vehicles have more than one filter. ACDelco recently released 190 new cabin air filter part numbers that cover millions of vehicles on the road.

3. Examine tires for proper inflation. Customers may see an illuminated tire pressure icon during the first cold snap of the year. If restoring tire pressure doesn’t do the trick, ACDelco TPMS sensors cover most General Motors vehicles with tire pressure monitoring systems.

4. Spark plug rebate continues. If your customers need new spark plugs, ACDelco is issuing rebates up to $32 depending on the number and type installed. For more information, terms and conditions, visit www.acdelco.com.
