Tsuda Racing & Falken Tires take 2nd place in W.E. Rock Grand Nationals

Sept. 25, 2015

Team Falken, manufacturer of high performance on- and off-road tires, salutes Tsuda Racing for scoring a second place in the final round of the Pro Modified Class of the W.E Rock Grand Nationals last weekend.

With a brand new course at Katemcy Rocks in Mason, TX, Team Driver Masa Tsuda’s second place finish, combined with his previous Pro Mod win in Round 3, was good enough to claim second overall in the Western Series Championship.

“This has been a long-term goal for our team,” exclaimed Masa Tsuda, upon receiving the team’s trophy for the second place in the championship.  “My spotter Ryotaro Okamoto, my team and I have worked hard to compete in the W.E. Rock Championship and expand our off-road skills here in the U.S., and we are thrilled to earn this achievement.”

Running on Falken WILDPEAK M/T tires, sized 37x12.50R17, Tsuda’s vehicle, like all competitors, ran for the first time on the new course, and experienced the tough granite rocks that lined much of the track.

“The stickiness of our WILDPEAKS gave us the traction we needed and took our team to the next level,” Masa added.  Additionally, the team’s determination, combined with spotter Ryotaro’s concentration, enabled the team to earn its second podium finish.

“Once again, we couldn’t have done this without the strong support from our sponsors,” Masa continued.  “Thank you to Falken Tire, Trail-Gear, JM Rigging Supply, FOX Racing Shox, Currie ENT and Savvy Offroad.”

“We knew it was so important to align our racing program with Tsuda Racing,” declared Jonathon Bradford, Falken Tire’s Manager, Motorsports and Events.  “This team was always so focused all season; it was continuing to move forward and that certainly came true with a second place in the Western Series Championship.  It’s a testament to a good combination of Tsuda Racing’s great racing program and our Falken WILDPEAK tires, always a good partner.”
