Tsuda Racing scores first class win at W.E. Rock on Falken tires

Sept. 11, 2015

Team Falken, manufacturer of high performance on- and off-road tires, continues to strengthen its line-up of winning teams, now that Tsuda Racing has scored a first in the Pro Modified Class in Round 3 of the W.E. Rock Crawl held at Broken Boulder Farms in Washington.

Driver Masa Tsuda, who customarily flies in from his home base of Japan to compete, took top honors in the ProMod class, competing against both other drivers and the weather, the latter which proved to be extremely hot, leaving the course dry and dusty.  Masa and his spotter, Ryotaro Okamoto, never let the elements bother them as they were solidly in first place at the end of the first day.

Running on Falken WILDPEAK M/T tires, sized 37x12.50R17, Tsuda’s vehicle had strong traction, but the course layout proved challenging and while negotiating race course #2, Masa rolled his car and was unable to continue.

Despite this setback, the team’s spirit carried on, enabling Tsuda to complete all further courses, earning his first win in the 2015 W.E Rock Crawl competition.

“This is an important day for Tsuda Racing,” Masa noted.  We would like to thank all our sponsors for supporting our race efforts and getting us this first place podium. It’s our first win in the U.S., so this is a real thrill for all of us on the team.

“Thank you to Falken Tire, Trail-Gear, JM Rigging Supply, FOX Racing Shox, Currie ENT and Savvy Offroad.”

“We share in Masa’s excitement for his – and his team’s – first win,” added Jonathon Bradford, Falken Tire’s Manager, Motorsports and Events.  “We’re glad Tsuda Racing is a part of the Falken team, and we wish all of them continued success, here in America and around the world.”

The next W.E. Rock event, the Grand Nationals, is scheduled for September 12 in Mason, TX.
