Michelin's Selleck is TIA's keynote speaker

Michelin North America Inc. Chairman and President Pete Selleck will give the keynote address at the Tire Industry Honors Awards Ceremony on Nov. 2, 2015, in Las Vegas.

“The Tire Industry Honors is always a highlight of industry week in Las Vegas and having Mr. Selleck as our keynote speaker is truly an honor for TIA and for the industry,” says TIA Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield.

Selleck is responsible for coordinating all activities of Michelin in North America. He joined Michelin in 1982 and has served for over 30 years in manufacturing and general management positions in Greenville, S.C., and Clermont-Ferrand, France.

The first half of his Michelin career was focused on engineering, quality, operational, and leadership roles in North American manufacturing plants. Subsequently, he served as chief operating officer of the North American Passenger Car Tire Division, chief operating officer of the European Passenger Car Tire Division, and president of the Global Truck Tire Division.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Directors of the West Point Association of Graduates, and is Chairman of the Board of the Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA).

Selleck holds degrees from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, where he earned a B.S. in engineering and applied sciences, and Clemson University, where he earned an M.B.A. He began his career as an Army officer in the 4th Infantry Division, where he served as a platoon leader and a company commander, and subsequently, he served more than 20 years in the Army Reserves.
