Team Toyo’s Kyle LeDuc Sets Record in Estero Beach, Mexico

Aug. 4, 2015

Kyle LeDuc and Toyo Tires have set the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series record for the most consecutive Pro 4 class wins in a single season… 10 in a row!

LeDuc swept Rounds 11 and 12 at the Estero Beach Resort, Battle South of the Border at Estero Beach in Baja California, Mexico.  Located just a few miles south of Ensenada, Estero Beach rests on the shore of the Pacific Ocean, the scenic race course consisting primarily of sand.  This marked the first time the series has held a race in Mexico.

LeDuc’s Toyo Open Country M/T-R equipped Monster Energy / Toyo Tires Ford F-150 began the weekend by qualifying number one in the Pro 4 class, laying claim to the position he would finish in each race during the weekend.  Fans witnessed LeDuc winning a Fast Lap award, along with the ‘consecutive win’ record for the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series.  In fact, he has won every race this year so far with the exception of Round 1.

“Normally, we race on well-packed, established dirt.  In Mexico, it was literally sand, including a section of white beach sand,” said LeDuc.  “Our Toyos made the difference by far.  We had a huge advantage running them, and we proved it by always being the fastest every time on the track.”

Team Toyo’s Brandon Arthur also put on a driving clinic during Saturday’s Round 11, by winning overall in the Pro Lite race.  He followed that up with a second place finish on Sunday driving his Competitive Metals / Pro Traffic Services / Toyo Tires Ford truck.  Running on off-the-shelf Toyo Open Country A/T II tires, Arthur now claims a victory, four 2nd place finishes and a 3rd place in Pro Lite for 2015.

“My team and our Toyo Open Country A/T II tires loved the Baja sand,” said Arthur.  “My Toyo tires were hooked up and led me to a first on Saturday, and we followed it up with a second on Sunday.”

“A big congratulations to Kyle LeDuc for setting a record with 10 consecutive race wins this season in the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series,” said Stan Chen, senior manager of events and sponsorships, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp.  “We also congratulate Brandon Arthur for his Round 11 win, and for his second place podium finish on Sunday.  This was truly an awesome weekend for Team Toyo.”

Short course racing returns to U.S. soil on August 22 – 23 for the Silver State Showdown at the Wild West Motorsports Park in Sparks, Nevada.
