Mahle: See diagnostic tool at Detroit show

July 15, 2015

Mahle Service Solutions will demonstrate its new TechPro diagnostic scan tool during NACE/CARS 2015 in Detroit. Technicians Bogi Lateiner and Donny Seyfer will lead the demonstrations at booth number 1131.

The demonstrations are scheduled for Thursday, July 23 at 2 p.m. and 5:15 p.m., and on Saturday, July 25 at 10 a.m.

Bogi, an ASE certified mechanic, stars on the Velocity Channel’s “All Girls Garage.” She is the founder and owner of 180 Degrees Automotive, a full-service auto repair shop in central Phoenix. Seyfer is the second-generation owner of a repair shop in Wheat Ridge, Colo., and is an ASE master mechanic with more than 30 years of experience.

During NACE/ CARS, Mahle will display the Mahle Service Solutions TechPro diagnostic scan tool. TechPro is a new generation tool based on what professional technicians asked for: speed in diagnostics, low cost of entry, and a standardized and easy user interface, according to Mahle.

This laptop or tablet-enabled device features the ability to decode a vehicle identification number (VIN) in one second with one click. Speed of diagnosis is measured in seconds versus minutes for competitors’ tools.

Mahle says the new device is engineered so the vehicle communication interface (VCI) and software can be used with a technician’s current desktop, laptop or tablet, making it unnecessary to buy or lease extra hardware. In addition, regular vehicle data and software updates are downloaded automatically and seamlessly via the Internet.

In addition to showcasing TechPro, Mahle Service Solutions will feature its ArcticPro ACX1280 A/C machine that efficiently processes the new R1234yf refrigerant.

Mahle says the ACX1280 has received positive customer feedback for its fully automatic features that make for easy, time-saving, and precise service for air conditioning systems in vehicles that use R1234yf refrigerant since its introduction last year. Several global automotive vehicle manufacturers have chosen to equip their dealerships with the ACX1280 as an essential service tool.

Held July 21-25, 2015 at Detroit’s Cobo Center, International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE) is the only B2B event of its kind designed for collision repair industry professionals from around the globe. Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS)  features a high-quality education lineup led by industry leaders, along with an exhibitor showcase of automotive service and repair-related equipment, products and services.
