Pirelli promotes men's health via Twitter

Pirelli Tire North America Inc. has launched a Twitter campaign with the Men’s Health Network. The #HealthierMan campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle and simple daily habits that men can implement for overall health benefits.

“Working together with Pirelli World Challenge and their drivers, we want to remind men of the small steps they can take to lead healthier lifestyles every day,” says Pierluigi Dinelli, chairman and CEO of Pirelli Tire North America.

“The #HealthierMan initiative, which coincides with Men’s Health Month in June, aims to encourage men to share their commitment to a healthier lifestyle with their family and friends through simple tips on healthy diet, exercise, sports activities and more.”

The campaign began on June 25 and runs until July 16, 2015. “Pirelli is proud to partner with the Men’s Health Network for the first time and provide support for this important non-profit organization in the US. We look forward to improving our efforts in national health programs like this in future,” says Dinelli.

Every time the hashtag #HealthierMan is used on Twitter with @PirelliUSA tagged, Pirelli will donate $1 to the Men’s Health Network organization (up to $10,000 in total).

The campaign kick-off will coincide with the 7th round of the Pirelli World Challenge series set to take place at Road America. Pirelli North America and Pirelli World Challenge drivers are encouraging people to participate and raise money for the cause.

To participate, Pirelli says simply share what you or a man in your life are doing to become healthier on Twitter through either a short tweet, photo or video, along with the hashtag #HealthierMan and tag @PirelliUSA

The company says the tweet can be anything from diet or fitness tips to motivational quotes (for instance a photo of a salad as today’s healthy meal choice instead of a hot dog). Creativity and variety are encouraged.
