The hottest topic in our industry centers on tire tariffs. Tire manufacturers are anxious to know what the final tariffs will be, and if they will be retroactive in any way.

However, the effect the final tariffs will have on them varies. For example, some tire makers are set up to absorb the tariffs -- without adding cost to the tire.

How is that possible? Modern Tire Dealer Editor Bob Ulrich explains how Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. falls into that category.

Read all about it in his latest B.O.B. blog, "2015 tire tariffs: Why Cooper is stress-free with the wait-and-see approach."

What are your thoughts on Ulrich's insights about the new tariffs?

First, read the blog, which includes Cooper's official comments about the U.S. Department of Commerce's recent decision not only to uphold the preliminary tariff amounts but also to increase them. Then let us know what you think by leaving a comment!
