Autopromotec attracts more global visitors

June 3, 2015

Another year of Autopromotec is in the books, and organizers are calling the 2015 edition a success after a record number of exhibitors and visitors participated in the show May 20-24 in Bologna, Italy.

Among the highlights:

  • A total of 1,587 exhibitors, including 663 or nearly 42%, were from foreign countries. Exhibitors came from 47 foreign countries.
  • The exhibit area of 14 halls and four outdoor spaces covered 157,000 square meters.
  • A total of 103,989 visitors attended the show, up 1.4% from Autopromotec 2013. The number of Italian visitors was about flat, down 0.3%, while foreign visitors increased 9% to 20,646. Officials say the increase in foreign visitors came mostly from the main European countries, as well as from Asian Far East countries and other continents.

Autopromotec Brand Manager Emanuele Vicentini says, “The strong growth in foreign exhibitor and visitor figures makes Autopromotec a landmark event in the international trade fair scenario. The challenge we will be facing now is to stay true to our commitments and work to enhance internationalization of the Autopromotec brand.”

In addition to the 20 events listed in the AutopromotecEdu program, which gathered more than 2,300 Italian and international attendees, 33 events, meetings and workshops organized by associations, institutions and media partners, as well as 13 exhibitor presentations also took place. Modern Tire Dealer Editor Bob Ulrich was among about 500 journalists who covered the show.

The next Autopromotec show will be held May 24-28, 2017, at the Bologna Trade Fair Center.
