Goodyear adds sales, service to 3 retread shops

June 1, 2015

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has opened sales and service departments in three of its Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Center retread plants, including two locations near Los Angeles.

“Our retread plants in Bremen, Ga., Vernon, Calif. and Walnut, Calif. now offer new Goodyear, Dunlop and Kelly brand truck tires,” says Paul Wanstreet, president of Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Centers. In addition, the three service centers offer Goodyear-Fleet HQ 24/7 Emergency Roadside Service to help get trucks up and running.

Since 2007, Goodyear says it emergency roadside service program has helped more than one million trucks return to service and boasts an industry-leading roll time of two hours and 11 minutes, on average.

“When a truck goes down, there’s no time to lose,” says Wanstreet. “No other tire manufacturer matches Goodyear’s expertise in helping trucks return to service with a roll-time of two hours and 11 minutes.”

Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Center retread plants offer Goodyear’s full line of retread products, including those that contain Goodyear’s spliceless UniCircle Technology, which the company says helps enhance tread wear and traction.

“These newly opened sales and service departments make it even easier for fleets to access premium Goodyear truck tires and services to help lower their operating costs,” says Wanstreet.

Customers can contact the sales and service departments around the clock by calling (330) 345-8229.

“We look forward to continuing to provide the industry-leading products and services that fleets have come to expect from Goodyear," says Wanstreet.
