Vipal to exhibit at Autopromotec

May 15, 2015

Vipal Rubber Corp. will once again attend Autopromotec, May 20-24 at the Bologna Exhibition Centre, in Bologna, Italy. Vipal will present new developments and its full portfolio of products and services. The company also will talk about changes it has made within its operations in the European market.

Among tire treads, Vipal will showcase its DV-RT4, which the company says is ideal for use on drive axles. The DV-RT4 is a tread with high traction power and mileage performance due to its larger contact area with the ground. It is designed for drive axles on paved roads and transport services that demand a high level of tire performance. Vipal says it offers excellent abrasion resistance and uniform wear, right up to the end of its service life. It also enables better adherence on wet roads and excellent water drainage. Another distinguishing feature is the markers, which help retreaders achieve a better finished patch.

In addition to this product, Vipal also will be talking to its customers about new developments in its international services and operations. These include the opening of a distribution center in the United Kingdom. Located in the coastal town of Felixstowe, the distribution center started operations in November 2014. With 2000 square meters (21,528 square feet) of space and the capacity to store up to 500 tons of products, the operation will primarily cater for the UK market.

In January the company also opened a sales office in Italy. “Having a physical presence in Italy brings a range of operational benefits to our customers, which is part of our growth strategy for this region,” says Aldo Bastos, the company’s head of international business.

Aside from its most recent venture in the UK, Vipal, which exports to around 90 countries worldwide, has three other European distribution centers, located in Spain, Germany and Slovenia. It also has distribution centers in Australia, Mexico, Colombia, and three in the United States (Florida, Virginia and California), in addition to three plants in Brazil and branches in Spain, Australia, the U.S., Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Argentina and sub-Saharan Africa and Asia.
