Alliance names Max Dull to lead warehouse

March 5, 2015

The Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance has hired industry veteran Max Dull as vice president/general manager of Alliance Parts Warehouse (APW).

"We are fortunate to pair someone with Max's diverse global sourcing and product background with an operation that holds such strategic significance to the Alliance's future," says John Washbish, president and CEO of the Alliance.

"APW has always been a solid operation but its strategic potential has never been fully realized. Dull will bring three things to the party: an open mind; a ton of experience and a strong desire to get things done.”

Headquartered in Little Rock, Ark., APW is a multi-purpose enterprise that services all Alliance members.

"APW is owned jointly by the shareholders of the Alliance" says Dull. “The uniqueness of that business model enables the Alliance to ‘incubate’ products and programs that initially might not be able to stand on their own. That presents Alliance members with a host of category management solutions with an offering of products tailored specifically to Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper competitive needs.”

In addition to his long involvement with Clevite Engine Parts, Dull's background includes stints in management with AE Components Eastern of Hong Kong, Dana Corp. where he chaired the global strategic sourcing team and as vice president/general manager and eventual owner of Beck/Arnley. Most recently he was general manager of Mahle Aftermarket Inc.’s tool and equipment division.

The Alliance Parts Warehouse consolidates and distributes products from over 80 manufacturers, including exclusive Alliance brands like Perfect Stop, Parts Master, and Autobody Master, for weekly shipments to Alliance shareholders in the US, Canada, and Mexico.
