Tire aging: Manufacturers are greedy, says writer

Order Reprints

Here we go again, another yahoo talking about tire aging. But this "yahoo" is Ray Magliozzi, who writes the answers to the syndicated column "Dear Car Talk."

Overall, his answer to a question about when to replace tires is filled with good information. But his lack of knowledge on the subject at the beginning of his answer shows no respect for tire manufacturers. He basically calls them greedy.

What did he say in "When to replace tires"? And how did he say it? To find out, read the lastest blog by Modern Tire Dealer Editor Bob Ulrich, "'Car Talk' gets tire talk wrong when it comes to tire aging."

There is a link within the blog that takes you to Magliozzi's response.

Read the "Car Talk" Q&A, then read the blog. Do you agree with the "Car Talk" guy? Or do you agree with Ulrich?
