The Hybrid Shop LLC (THS) has hired Carey Mellor as vice president of sales for the western U.S. He will focus on developing the dealer network on the west coast and key markets in the west.

Mellor is a sales and marketing executive with an extensive background in the automotive industry. He has spent 26 years as a vice president in national tire dealerships. His most recent position was vice president of the western division of Tire Pros, the dealer franchise program of American Tire Distributors Inc. (ATD) from 2008 to 2012. He also served as vice president of sales and marketing with AmPac Tire Distributors from 1987 to 2009. Prior to joining THS, he was the president of CWM and Associates, which he founded in Jan. 2013.
“I am thoroughly impressed with the management team at THS and the development of service opportunities available now to independent tire dealers and service repair centers that were previously only performed at new car dealerships. The technology used in the design of the service equipment, technician training and marketing support provides repair centers with the next evolution in repair services, hybrids," Mellor says.
THS was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in Gainesville, Va.
