Atlantic Tire & Service, a locally owned and operated automotive care and repair center with three locations in Cary, Durham and Raleigh, N.C., is pleased to announce Jon Hagwood has received his Tire Industry Association (TIA) certification as an Automotive Tire Service Technician.
Hagwood, general service technician, has worked at Atlantic Tire & Service for 10 years, and has been in the automotive industry for 15 years.
In order to become TIA certified, an individual must complete the Certified Automotive Tire Service (ATS) Program consisting of 15 different modules with topics ranging from wheel installation to tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) servicing valve stem and band mounted sensors. Once an individual has successfully completed the program series, he or she must achieve a passing score on the final exam before becoming TIA certified.
