Sales counter is tire store's 'prime real estate'

Feb. 9, 2015

Modern Tire Dealer columnist Wayne Williams says it’s time to take a hard look at a prime piece of real estate: your sales counter.

In too many dealerships, the counter seems to be designed for store personnel with customers being an afterthought.

“As retailers, we actually compete at some level with all other retailers when it comes to the look and feel at the sales counter,” Williams says.

The sales counter is the most important place in a retail tire and service store, according to Williams.

He shares his observations in “It starts and ends at the counter.” To see how your store compares, see Williams’ column online or in the print edition of the January 2015 issue of MTD.
