Rice Tire Co. has pledged $25,000 to Frederick Memorial Hospital (FMH). The contribution will help the hospital expand its oncology program into a fully integrated, comprehensive cancer institute.

“Rice Tire is a proud supporter of Frederick Memorial Hospital,” says Chris Chase, Rice Tire president. “We believe in FMH and the quality healthcare it provides, and we wanted to give back to an organization that does so much for so many people in our community."

The hospital says the pledge establishes Rice Tire as a member of its FMH Corporate Honor Roll.

“Rice Tire’s contribution demonstrates the fact that they are great corporate citizens, and we thank them for their commitment to FMH and our community," says Ken Coffey, FMH vice president and chief development officer.

The hospital’s Corporate Honor Roll roster includes a diverse group of more than 65 local businesses, organizations and foundations.

Headquartered in Frederick, Md., Rice Tire operates ten stores in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C., servicing a combination of retail, commercial and wholesale customers.

The company serves commercial clients with a retreading plant in Winchester, Va., wholesale tire warehouses in Frederick, Md., and Cumberland, Md., and a fleet of over 70 delivery and emergency road service trucks.
