Falken adds to its senior management team

Falken Tire Corp. is expanding its senior management team with four appointments.

Fumikazu (Fumi) Yamashita has been appointed to vice president of technical services. A 30 year Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd. (SRI) veteran, Fumi will be responsible for technical services and quality assurance testing, product development and original equipment technical services.

Keiji Mimaki will serve as director of product planning. Mimaki’s most recent experiences have focused on marketing and sales in the Japanese domestic market.  Keiji will now focus his efforts on developing new products for North America.

Shinjiro (Shin) Yamazaki has been appointed as the new director of OE sales. Shin joins Falken after spending 14 years at SRI and will be responsible for expanding Falken Tire sales to OE manufacturers. Shin will help establish a new OE sales office in Detroit.

Chris Roberts has joined Falken as the director of human resources. With more than 20 years of HR experience, she will be responsible for HR, safety and facilities operations.

In making these announcements, Falken CEO and President Richard Smallwood says the quartet are “great additions to the Falken family” and “will enable us to directly address important long-term goals of our company and our customers.”
