Hankook Tire Co. Ltd. has named Hee-se Ahn president of Hankook Tire America Corp. Ahn’s appointment was effective Jan. 1, 2015.
Ahn will also serve as chief operating officer for the company’s business operations throughout the Americas including the United States, Canada, Central America, South America and Mexico.
He replaces Byeong Jin Lee, who had been president since January 2013. The company declined to comment on Lee’s future.
Ahn comes to Hankook's Americas operations from the company's European headquarters, where he was vice president of marketing and sales. He began his career in 1986 at Hankook’s headquarters in Seoul, Korea. His executive positions include managing director of Hankook’s Dubai office and vice president of marketing and sales at Hankook’s China headquarters.

Ahn will be based at Hankook Tire’s America headquarters in Wayne, N.J.
