Toyo announces new year corporate changes

Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd. announces the following changes of assignment for directors and corporate officers, personnel changes and organizational changes, all effective Jan. 1, 2015. The moves include a new chairman and new president of Toyo Tire North America Manufacturing Inc.

Company President Takuji Yamamoto has added the responsibility of general manager of North America business unit and Tire Business Group headquarters. He remains president, representative director and group executive officer of tire business, as well as chief risk management officer and chief compliance management officer.

James L. Hawk was named chairman of Toyo Tire North America Manufacturing and will remain senior corporate officer and chairman of Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas Inc., and president of Toyo Tire North America OE Sales LLC. Hawk previously served as general manager of the North America business unit and Tire Business group headquarters, as well as president of Toyo Tire North America Manufacturing Inc.

Hisanari Takai will serve as general manager of DT planning and administration department and DT business group headquarters. Takai previously was general manager of DT strategic planning department and corporate planning division.

Don Bunn will take over for Hawk as president of Toyo Tire North America Manaufacturing Inc. Bunn previously served as senior director of technical services for the same division.

The organizational changes include:

* DT strategic planning department under the corporate planning division was dissolved, and DT planning and administration department was established under DT business group headquarters.

* The strategic planning function of DT strategic planning department was transferred to DT planning and administration department under DT business group headquarters.

* The business management function of DT business administration group of DT business group headquarters was transferred to the DT planning and administration department.
