Global Rubber Industries (Pvt) Ltd (GRI) has aquired Axis Tyres, an Australia-based company that specializes in forklift tires. The deal includes several Axis locations.
"This venture has further expanded GRI's global industrial tire service network and will achieve our goal of increasing distribution channels in Australia and getting closer to our customers at a national level," says Prabhash Subasinghe, GRI managing director.
Axis, which was founded in 1992, also carries OTR, truck and farm tires.
"With a strong growth strategy at our core in all the segments we operate in, GRI acquired Axis Tyres to strengthen our reach in Australia," says GRI CEO Dr. Mahesha Ranasoma.
GRI has offices in nine countries and a sales presence in more than 50 countries.
