Look for More Sizes of Mickey Thompson Baja Boss Tire

Oct. 29, 2019

Mickey Thompson Tire & Wheels is adding 15 sizes to the Baja Boss extreme mud terrain tire in 2020. The tire, which premiered at the 2018 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show, features an asymmetrical tread pattern that reduces noise while also improving handling. The tire's deep, wide voids enhance off-road traction and forward bite.

Stone ejector ribs prevent gravel from being wedged into tread grooves, and angled shoulder scallops provide traction and self-cleaning ability. Mud scoops provide a concave surface for mud traction and help create a void to prevent mud from clinging to the elements. The silica-reinforced compound helps with on-road tread wear, cut/chip resistance and improved wet handling and braking performance.

The new sizes span 15-inches to 22-inches:

33x12.50R15LT LT285/70R17 LT285/55R20

“We are extremely proud to be introducing new sizing options for the popular Baja Boss off-road tire line,” says Ken Warner, vice president of marketing for Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels. “With its next-generation four-pitch Sidebiters providing unparalleled off-road traction and new PowerPly XD 3-ply sidewall construction for greater puncture resistance, quicker steering response and greater stability, the Baja Boss has quickly become the go-to tire for trail riders looking to tackle the toughest terrain.”

Sizes are available for 15- to 24-inch wheel diameters for a variety of leveled and lifted vehicles. Select sizes are available with load range F. Some flotation sizes carry a reduced load rating specifically for lighter duty and off-road applications. All Baja Boss tires are made in the U.S.
