Yokohama Tire Corp. has added the all-season Advan Sport A/S+ to its Advan line of ultra-high performance tires.
Backed by a 55,000-mile limited tread wear warranty, the W- and Y-rated tire comes in 65 sizes, ranging from 16 inches to 21 inches in diameter.
The Advan Sport A/S+ features a new, silica-rich HS-2 compound that "dramatically improves braking in wet and wintry conditions for dependable, year-round grip," according to Yokohama officials.
It also boasts extra-large outside shoulder blocks for enhanced cornering; optimized sidewall construction for crisp, responsive handling; an optimized contact patch area for equal pressure distribution and long, even wear; and four-pitch tread variation to reduce road noise and help ensure a comfortable, quiet ride.
"The Sport A/S+, engineered for a broad selection of luxury vehicles, high-end performance vehicles, sports cars and American muscle cars, offers a significant upgrade in braking and handling in wet and wintry weather over its highly successful predecessor," say Yokohama officials.
