Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has named John Cavanaugh vice president of its North American off-highway business. He succeeds Joe Copeland, who was recently named vice president of Goodyear's Commercial Tire Systems.
Goodyear's off-highway business covers OTR, aviation, racing and motorcycle tires.
Cavanaugh, who started with Goodyear in 2003, will report to Richard Kramer, president of Goodyear's North American Tire unit.
In late 2006, he became financial director of the firm's off-highway business. He served as director of racing operations from June 2007 through January 2008. Since then, he has been financial director, Commercial Tire Systems, for the North American Tire division.
