Falken Tire Corp. has introduced the WildPeak A/T Trail, which it calls "the first-ever CUV all-terrain tire on the market.
"Engineered to match the dynamic characteristics of today's modern crossovers, the WildPeak A/T Trail strikes the perfect balance between aggressive off-road traction and dependable all-weather performance," say Falken officials.
The tire features an optimized tread design, which helps maintain "the efficiency and versatility demanded by today's modern CUVs," plus Falken's 3D Canyon Sipe Technology and increased tread depth for "more winter traction than a traditional all-season tire."
As a result, the WildPeak A/T is certified for severe snow conditions and boasts the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association's 3PMSF symbol.
Available in 30 sizes, ranging from 16 inches to 20 inches in diameter, the WildPeak A/T fits vehicles like the Ford Escape, Jeep Cherokee, Subaru Crosstrek and Outback, Toyota RAV4 and others.
"We engineered the WildPeak A/T Trail to match a crossover vehicle's unibody construction and higher center of gravity to provide enhanced handling, year-round," says Drew Howlett, Falken product manager, LT/SUV/CUV tires.
The tire comes with a 65,000-miles tread life warranty. It also carries Falken's Road Hazard Protection, which offers free replacement for any damage that occurs during the first two years of ownership or within the first 3/32nds of tread life, whichever comes first.
