Bridgestone Americas Inc. has unveiled a new farm tire, the Firestone Maxi Traction.

Available in 15 sizes, the Maxi Traction features a tread pattern that is designed for improved wear rate and longer tire life; R-1W tread depth and a dual-angle tread pattern design for increased contact with the soil and enhanced traction; and Bridgestone's AD2 technology, "to help farmers carry heavier loads at the same pressure as standard agricultural tires, or the same loads at reduced inflation pressure, reducing fuel consumption and minimizing soil compaction," according to Bridgestone officials.

"Farmers today need tires that are as tough as the conditions and seasons they operate in," says Tony Orlando, president of Bridgestone's Firestone Ag division. "Firestone Maxi Traction tires will help farmers get the most out of their equipment and lessen the toll taken on the fields during critical farming seasons."
