Bartec Develops Its Own TPMS Sensor: the Rite-Sensor

Sept. 9, 2019

Bartec USA LLC is expanding its reach in the market of tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) with the introduction of its own line of sensors — the Rite-Sensor.

The maker of TPMS equipment says Rite-Sensor is a programmable, single part, multi-frequency replacement TPMS sensor.

Bartec CEO Scot Holloway says, “The benefits to using our new Rite-Sensor are many! It’s a single part solution, it comes with both valve options, and it programs quickly and easily using one of our tools that is likely already in your shop. It’s very easy to use and program, and offers excellent vehicle coverage!”

Here's how Bartec breaks down the advantages of the Rite-Sensor:

  • It's a single SKU solution, which helps reduce inventory costs and eliminate confusion for technicians.
  • It's programmable, so a technician uses a Bartec Tech400SD or newer TPMS tool to configure the sensor based on the vehicle's make, model and year.
  • The programming is accurate because of Bartec’s VINdicate feature found on the Pro Series TPMS Tools. A technician connects the Tech400Pro to the OBDII port to quickly and accurately detect the vehicle identification number [VIN] and set up the tool and program the Rite-Sensor.
  • The boxed Rite-Sensors include both rubber and aluminum valve options. The Rite-Sensor comes with the rubber valve stem already installed. If the vehicle application requires an aluminum valve stem, thepart is also in the box. (Bulk Rite-Sensors and tool/sensor bundles will feature only the rubber stemmed version.)

Bartec Sales Manager Ed Jones says, “Having both valve options in the box and readily available to the installer saves both time and money, while freeing up the service bay faster.” Users of Bartec TPMS tools will need to log into their current tool account and download and install Release 60 so they can program the Rite-Sensor. The sensor is programmable on Bartec tools only, including the Tech400SD, Tech500, Tech300Pro, Tech400Pro and Tech1000.

Holloway says, “Even with the availability of our own TPMS Sensor solution, Bartec remains committed to working with all of our major sensor partners and will continue to maintain sensor coverage for those popular brands of sensors. It’s important that our tool customers have access to the sensors of their choosing.”

Steve Long, Bartec's director of operations, says “Bartec’s process-oriented approach to TPMS sensor programming means working with and using the Rite-Sensor is very easy and very fast.”

The Rite-Sensor joins Bartec's "one-stop-shop" for TPMS solutions — which includes tools, sensors, service kits, product training and consumer information.

Orders to distributors will begin processing the week of Sept. 9, 2019. Software Release 60 will be available on its website by Sept. 13.
