Jack Williams Tire Adds Equipment Sales and Service Business

Jack Williams Tire Co. Inc. is expanding its business with the acquisition of the equipment sales and service division of PetroChoice LLC. The 90-year-old tire dealer will add 21 team members and will sell, service and install equipment from eight new brands.

The new business will operate as its own division, JWT Equipment Specialists. Jack Williams Tire, which already operates retail and wholesale business, will continue to distribute garage supplies as well as alignment and tire changing equipment from Hunter Engineering Co. and Hennessy Industries Inc..

The acquisition from PetroChoice will allow JWT Equipment Specialists to sell and service these brands:

  • Rotary lifts,
  • Corghi tire changers and balancers,
  • Excel tire inflators,
  • Champion air compressors,
  • Cleanburn waste oil burners,
  • MacroAir fans, shop exhaust systems, and
  • Samson and Graco lubrication storage and handling equipment.

The 21 PetroChoice team members joining JWT Equipment Specialists bring with them more than 280 years of automotive equipment service. The company will have more than a dozen technicians providing on-site factory authorized service and installation throughout Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern Tier New York, Northern Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey.

Jack Williams Tire says the expansion is a sign of the company's "commitment to position itself for sustainable growth to propel it into the future and to continue to remain a leader in the tire and automotive industry."

Jack Williams Tire was founded in 1929 in Kingston, Pa., and is a multi-generation, family-owned business with 36 retail locations in Pennsylvania and 13 wholesale locations serving Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and Delaware. The company has more than 800 employees.
