Kumho Honors Big Brothers With the Atlanta Hawks

Feb. 7, 2019

Kumho Tire USA Inc. and the Atlanta Hawks partnered to celebrate the work of mentors who volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta.

As part of National Mentoring Month in January, Big Brothers Big Sisters selected two volunteers who "have gone above and beyond to impact the lives of Atlanta youth." They were gifted with an all-expense paid trip to watch the Hawks take on the Philadelphia 76ers in Philadelphia.

The mentors, Christopher Thomas, and Sekou Langevine sat courtside during shoot-around and met Domonique Wilkins and a few current Hawks players. The two, and one additional mentor, also were given a new set of Kumho tires.

The Hawks also celebrated Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta on Jan. 21 when the organization welcomed 50 "Bigs" and "Littles" to the game against the Orlando Magic.

“We would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation to all of the amazing mentors who bring a positive lasting impact on the lives of young people and inspire our community at the same time”, said Shawn Denlein, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Kumho.  “We are very honored that our partnership with the Atlanta Hawk’s gave us this chance to support the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta.”
