Nearly 22,000 visitors from 103 countries attended Automechanika Shanghai, which was held earlier this month. Around 25% of those visitors were from outside of China.
The event boasted 1,250 exhibitors from more than 20 countries who set up in six halls.
"We are pleased and proud about the growth and development of Automechanika in Shanghai," says Stephan Kurzawski of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH, the organiser of the show.
"This industry is growing extremely fast. China produced over 7.2 million motor vehicles in the first 10 months of this year, up 22% over last year, creating huge demand in the aftermarket sector."
