Temple, Texas-based American Tire Rentals will become part of RimTyme, the custom wheel division of rent-to-own chain ColorTyme Inc.
American Tire Rentals is run by Scott Savell, a veteran of the tire and wheel rental business. He also is in charge of RimTyme's growth strategy, "including deevlopment of corporate-owned stores as well as franchise development," according to ColorTyme officials.
Savell says he sees the opportunity "to take the wheel and tire rental industry to new levels."
Headquartered in Plano, Texas, ColorTyme has seven wheel and tire stores, plus more than 200 traditional rent-to-own stores.
