BFNT announces more management changes

Steven Brooks has been named president of Bridgestone Firestone Manufacturing Operations, effective Jan. 1. He will replace Masao Wada, who will retire two months later.

Wada, who began working for Bridgestone Corp. in 1971, also will retire from his positions as Bridgestone Americas Holding Inc. executive vice president and board member on March 1.

Brooks currently serves as vice president of manufacturing for Bridgestone North American Tire LLC, parent of Bridgestone Firestone Manufacturing Operations.

In related news, John Pitman, BFNT manager, business planning and analysis, has been promoted to director, strategic financial planning, a new position.

Curt Maggard, who currently runs BFNT's Ontario, Calif., distribution center, has been named director, DC operations, another new position. He starts his new job on Jan. 1.
