Dec. 3, 2007

Nokian Tyres plc is the most productive company in the automotive sector, according to German business and finance periodical Manager Magazin.

In its 18th study of companies listed on the European stock exchange, the magazine measured the economic success and productivity of Europe's 500 largest listed companies, with the aim of showing which companies produce wealth for investors and which consume it.

Nokian finished first in the automotive sector -- one of 20 different categories. Porsche AG was second, followed by Continental AG. Nokian finished 63rd overall.

The aim of the study, according to Manager Magazin, is to identify the companies whose productivity exceeds the expectations of capital investors. The Stoxx 600 list was selected for the study, showing the 500 largest European listed companies.
