Bridgestone brand to sponsor Super Bowl halftime shows

Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC (BFNT) and the National Football League have signed a deal that makes the Bridgestone brand the title sponsor of the halftime shows at next two Super Bowls.

"This is an unprecedented opportunity to showcase the Bridgestone brand to the world," says John Gamauf, president of BFNT consumer tire replacement sales.

In addition to sponsoring the halftime show, the Bridgestone brand "will launch two new 30-second commercials" during the next Super Bowl, which will be held Feb. 3, 2008, in Glendale, Ariz., say BFNT officials.
