Jeremy Lewin will take over director of marketing duties at ACCC

Oct. 19, 2007

Jeremy Lewin was named the new director of marketing at American Car Care Centers Inc. (ACCC). He will replace Dave Crawford, who will stay on until the end of the year. ("Crawford will leave American Car Care Centers," which was posted on moderntiredealer.com Oct. 16.)

Lewin, product planning and brand development manager for Continental Tire North America Inc., will assume his new responsibilities with ACCC on Nov. 14. He is the son of ACCC President Len Lewin.

"Jeremy will replace Dave Crawford, who is leaving ACCC to pursue a career with Mail America," says Len Lewin. "We knew that if the time ever came, Dave would not be easy to replace.

"During the past 11 years, he has been my friend and a valued partner in moving ACCC forward. His knowledge of the industry, ability to communicate at all levels and capacity to handle large volumes of work quickly and effectively made him a great contributor."

Jeremy Lewin learned the basics of the tire business at Continental by working with independent dealers and several of the ACCC Member Distributors. He moved from there to managing Continental's Associate Dealer and Gold programs, which gave him a strong working knowledge of programmed distribution.

"When Jeremy's name was mentioned as a potential successor, I handed the task to our Strategic Planning Committee," says Len Lewin. "It is gratifying to know the committee members feel he has the necessary background and skill set to handle this very important company function."

ACCC has 19 Member Distributors and 1,096 independent dealer locations in 45 states.
