Hercules promotes Simpson to vice president of marketing

Hercules Tire & Rubber Co. has appointed of Joshua Simpson vice president of marketing, effective immediately.

Simpson is responsible for the following, according to the company:

* developing product and marketing strategies for Hercules Tire's private and associate brands;

* optimizing marketing actions among the corporate divisions, both domestically and abroad.

Simpson joined Hercules in July of 2006 as director of marketing. Prior to that, he worked for 10 years at Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., where he held various positions, the most recent manager of product marketing.

He will report to CEO and President Lawrence Seawell.
