Belle Tire adds windshield replacement service to its offerings

Sept. 26, 2007

Starting Oct. 1, Belle Tire Distributors Inc. will offer auto windshield replacement and repair at its Michigan locations.

Onsite and mobile windshield replacement service will be available in addition to in-store stone-chip repairs. The same services will be available at Belle Tire's Ohio locations beginning Dec. 1.

"Customers can now count on us for convenient, professional windshield replacement along with the many other services we provide," says President Don Barnes. "The windshield is part of the structural integrity of a vehicle and needs to be installed correctly."

Belle Tire is compliant with the Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard, North America's only auto glass replacement standard. It ensures every technician is trained on the procedures for removing and installing auto glass. Glass installed by Belle Tire also will meet all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.

The company will offer OE-quality, brand-for-brand windshields, as well as factory-quality adhesives. According to Belle Tire, windshield wipers are designed to work best with the factory windshield due to the designed-in curvatures.

"Aftermarket windshields tend to have less "sag" or top-to-bottom curvature," says the company. "This can result in flat spots where the wipers may skip or not clear the glass as effectively."

Belle Tire will be registered with all major insurance companies in order to expedite insurance claims.

Based in Allen Park, Mich, the company has 80 stores in Michigan and Ohio. For more information, visit www.belletire.com.
