Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. recently donated 1,031,000 yen to the World Wild Fund (WWF) for Nature Japan. The money represents the entire amount of admissions from LIVE ecoMOTION, a charity music event held on July 29, 2007, in Shibuya, Tokyo, and contributions collected at the event.
WWF is a non-governmental organization operating actively in more than 100 countries. Since October 2006, Yokohama has been a corporate member of WWF Japan.
Yokohama Rubber sponsored LIVE ecoMOTION "to emphasize and communicate the importance of preventing global warming," according to the company.
