Maxxis debuts Victra MA-Z4S UHP tire

Aug. 13, 2007

Maxxis International - U.S.A. has introduced the Victra MA-Z4S, an ultra-high performance, all-season tire.

Features include a solid center rib for high-speed stability; a specially formulated silica tread compound for fuel economy and wet and dry traction; and reinforced steel belts for high-speed stability and long tread life.

The tread features multiple snow-biting grooves and siping for traction on snowy surfaces; four high-void, circumferential main grooves to expel water for enhanced wet traction; five-pitch tread blocks and two-in-one groove designs for a quiet ride; and V-shaped unidirectional grooves for improved handling on wet and dry roads.

A hard bead filler compound promotes sure cornering, acceleration and handling; and a reinforced casing and body-ply structure offers optimum handling and stability.

Doug Addis, the company's automotive/LT territory sales manager, says, “This tire now gives us coverage in all aspects of UHP. Our MA-Z1 and MA-V1 ‘summer UHP’ products address the sport and luxury UHP consumers. Adding the Z4S opens a whole new customer base.

"Our success with the MA-Z1 Drift tire, combined with the all-season style and performance of the Z4S, gives us confidence that the Z4S will have broad appeal, from the sports sedan to the minivan and crossover vehicle owner.”
