Foreign Tire Sales Inc. (FTS) will begin its recall of 250,000 Chinese-made light truck tires tomorrow, Aug. 9, says a spokesman for the importer.
In an effort to reach out to consumers, FTS plans to run ads in USA Today and local newspapers in several different states.
In addition, FTS will set up an 800 number and "there will be a video of how to identify a (recalled) tire" on the firm's Web site, www.foreigntire.com.
More information will be made available tomorrow, says the spokesman.
FTS will recall light truck tires manufactured by Hangzhou Zhongce Rubber Co. Ltd.
